What things should you provide to attract wildlife to your garden?

tidy garden
 
A habitat is

Shrubs with berries are good for
providing birds with food

Why is it good to have a pond in a wildlife garden?
it will cool down the air
it will get rid of pests
it will attract creatures as somewhere to live, bathe and drink
 
An old wall in a garden will
provide hiding places for many creatures
not help attract any wildlife
get covered in weeds
 
If there are not enough natural homes for wildlife you can
do nothing
provide human-made versions such as bird, hedgehog and bat boxes
give the wildlife more food
 
Native plants are good in the wildlife garden because
they are the creature's natural food source and support far more creatures
they look nice
they don't get diseases
 
If you want a wildlife garden you should not use chemicals because
they can get rid of weeds
they might kill beneficial (good) creatures and affect the natural balance
they can get rid of diseases
 
Wildflower meadows are a good habitat because
the plants can grow tall
they are a good source of food for insects
it means you don't have to mow the grass
 
It is a good idea to attract wildlife to your garden because
all the wildlife makes the garden nicer to look at
they eat all the plants
it helps to keep the garden in balance and prevent pests and diseases
     getting out of control
