Dr Margi Lennartsson is responsible for the wide ranging scientific programme studying organic horticulture and agricultural systems. In particular she is project leader on several of the DEFRA funded projects found on this web site including the conversion to organic vegetable production project and various soil fertilty and compost projects.

- Chris Firth - Senior Business Analyst

Chris is a Senior Research Officer at HDRA specialising in the economics of organic fruit and vegetables within organic farming systems.
Contact Chris Firth - Dr Ulrich Schmutz - Business Analyst

Ulrich is working on the research projects EU Rotate_N (Development of a model based decision support system to optimise N use in horticultural rotations) and Economics of Organic Farming and in a minor role in the Sustainable Organic Vegetable Network. He holds a PhD in International Horticulture from Humboldt University, Berlin.

Anton is working on the agronomics of the Sustainable Organic Vegetable Network project.

Gareth is a Research Officer at HDRA working on aspects of pest and disease management in organic farming systems with a specialist interest in a whole farm approach.

Phil is responsible for running the farm monitoring programme as part of the conversion project.

- Dr. Francis Rayns - Senior Research Officer

Francis is responsible for co-ordinating research on soil nutrient dynamics and currently working on a number of projects concerned with organic soil fertility. He is also responsible for the soils work of the conversion to organic field vegetable production project.
