Standards for Amenity Horticulture and Landscaping (HDRA)
HDRA is developing standards for non-food industries based on organic principles as originally devised for food under European Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91. The aim is to introduce an independent accreditation scheme, run by HDRA Consultants, covering amenity horticulture and landscaping projects and maintenance, nursery production of ornamentals, and products suitable for use as inputs.
Standards for products for use within the sector were launched August 2001. Although investigations are ongoing in order to refine these standards it is now possible to apply for product accreditation by contacting HDRA Consultants. Other parts of the standards are under development.
HDRA Consultants - Organic
