Wording to help you leave a legacy to HDRA/Garden Organic

Before you make your will, it is strongly advised that you seek help from a solicitor to ensure your will is a valid legal document which properly reflects your wishes.

If you would like to leave a bequest to HDRA/Garden Organic then please print this page and take it to your solicitors so they may use the correct wording:


Pecuniary gift (fixed amount) to HDRA

“I give the sum of ---------- pounds, free of all tax, to the Henry Doubleday Research Association of Garden Organic Ryton, Wolston Coventry CV8 3LG, registered charity number 298104. I direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive of the Association shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.”


Residuary gift (part of what’s left after all specific gifts) to HDRA/Garden Organic

“I give to the Henry Doubleday Research Association of Garden Organic Ryton, Wolston, Coventry CV8 3LG, registered charity number 298104, a --------- % share of my residuary estate for the general purposes of the Association. I direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive of the Association shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.”


Specific gift

“I give to the Henry Doubleday Research Association of Garden Organic Ryton, Wolston, Coventry CV8 3LG, registered charity number 298104, my (name and description of item). I direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive of the Association shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.”
