Living sedum roofs
'Living' or 'green' roofs are growing in popularity and are increasingly being used on new buildings. The new Vegetable Kingdom visitor centre and the offices for the Centre for Organic Horticulture at Garden Organic Ryton each has a living sedum roof. And it doesn't have to be large scale - you can put a sedum roof on a shed, a dog kennel or even a bird table . if it's strong enough.
