Potato late blight
Potato late blight is caused by the fungus Phytophthora infestans. Best known for causing the devastating crop losses that resulted in the Irish potato famine, this fungus infects leaves, stems and tubers. The same fungus is also responsible for causing tomato blight - see factsheet DC20 Tomato blight for more information.
